What a showing! The first annual Daniel Island Art Show is displaying the remarkable and varied talent of 36 island artists. The show had its Grand Opening on Thursday, April 10, with artists and guests enjoying live music, refreshments and, of course, scores of visual goodies.
With chardonnay in one hand and charcuterie in the other, guests packed the house and strolled the gallery during the opening. The artists themselves were on hand as well, mingling with visitors and perhaps commissioning or selling work. From paintings to photographs, the commercial suite has been transformed for the duration of the display through the efforts of the Daniel Island Property Owners Association, particularly Recreation Coordinator Dani Hermann and lead curator Alexis Phillips.
